I read an article in "People" magazine about her mother filing a lawsuit against the doctors who treated Heather in the past, claiming that they failed to diagnose the illness correctly. I haven't heard anything about the outcome of that lawsuit. Has it ever been resolved? |

Kathy and family won an undisclosed amount in damages. The estimated economic loss of Heather was $10 million, so I'm sure they got at least that much in the settlement. Thanks for posting! |

Celia, the amount you stated was nowhere near what my mom received. I just wanted to clear that issue up. My mom and I are both still working so you can figure out we didn't get enough to not work the rest of our lives. ut would have been nice tho. |

I'm sorry to hear that you didn't get all that much for Heather's death,Tammy.You'd think you would've,being how famous Heather was,it's a shame.Well,have a great weekend all,bye now!
